Ben Rogers heaped the praise on Gary Doncaster and debutant Luke Walker, following last Saturday’s emphatic away victory over Albion Sports.
The 22-year-old midfielder who got on the scoresheet himself in the first-half, felt “Donk” and fellow goalscorer Walker deserved the plaudits.
He remarked: “I thought Luke was absolutely brilliant, a real handful.
“You see what he does during a game, and his speed is unbelievable. He can make a bad ball a good one.
“Sometimes, if you are stuck in a bit of trouble, you can hook it on and Luke can bring it down or flick it on.
“Since Gary came back in after injury to Andy Francis I thought he has been outstanding. He is a big voice out on the pitch and helps everyone out. He’s got real leadership qualities.”
Rogers was also pleased to see Clipstone raise their game against Albion after three games without a victory.
