As the Cobras confirm their squad for 2018-19, Rob Paling will once again be a part of the Clipstone Football Club set up after agreeing to return to the club for an 8th season.
Paling joined the Cobras in 2012 and In the time that has followed, Rob has led the club to a title winning promotion to step 5 football (the highest in the club’s history) and two Notts Senior Cup Finals. Paling also has 295 appearances to his name and will be looking to receive his 300th this season.
“A no brainer” was how manager Micky Taylor described the decision to bring Rob back.
“Rob is a man who cares about the values of Clipstone and is the glue that holds many things together here” continued Taylor.
“The work ethic he brings to the pitch is contagious. After his injury last season we have been very impressed with his fitness levels and his desire remains the same today as when I first met him. We are lucky to have him with us at this club”.
“He has constantly re-invented himself, adapted to the changing nature of the game and retained that desire and hunger for success. That is what we want here this season, a chance to bring back the smiles to Clipstone”.
