Community spirit continues as more good news comes to light.

Big news coming in today from Mansfield Town Football Club. The Stags first team manager Steve Evans has offered to bring a Mansfield Town team to the Worksop Van Hire Ground to play a midweek fundraising match with us. The date is yet to be confirmed but our Vice Chairman Andy Sumner had this to say.

“Wow! I have just had a phone call from Steve Evans! He has offered to bring a Mansfield Town team to play a midweek fundraising match between us and the Stags asap. This was so unexpected!”

“We enjoy working with MTFC, supporting their youth and academy teams at our ground and for Steve to proactively call to offer support is brilliant.”

“This just sums up the great work that John and Caroline Radford do at the club and supporting the local community and what they believe in. The club did not have to do anything and we certainly didn’t expect anything.”

Andy went on to say. “We will look to use any funds raised to make the building even more secure and also improve where we can. We continue to be blown away by the support from everyone. Other teams like Sherwood F.C. have also offered to help with fundraising matches as well and lots of local and NCEL clubs having offered support. Our sponsors too have been great. Thank you!”
