Clipstone manager Micky Taylor admitted his side’s first match in the EMCL which was a 3-1 defeat at Kimberley Welfare — was a reality check after a successful pre-season.
The Cobras started slow and were down 2 goals to nil after 20 minutes. “We looked disjointed in the first 20 minutes,” The Cobras gaffer said.
“But you can’t give teams a two-goal start in the first 20 minutes. After that I felt we controlled the game and they hit us on the counter attack late on as we pushed for an equaliser.”
Clipstone are back on home soil on Tuesday against Clifton All Whites. Kick off 7:45PM.
