Clipstone back to winning ways.
Clipstone get back to winning ways after a 3-1 victory over Borrowash Victoria today with goals from Dean Rick, Olly Ashton and Ethan Wiesztort.
Cobras boss Micky Taylor said: “It’s great to get back to winning ways today. The game wasn’t a spectacle by all means but we did the job and I couldn’t ask for anymore from the lads.”
“It would’ve been nice to have scored a few more goals especially with the chances we had but today was about playing professionally and getting the three points.”
“It’s been a very tough week for us, we’ve lost both our centre halves. Charlie Taylor had departed to Worksop Town and then we had the injury to Jason Gregory”.
Manager Taylor handed a debut to former Sherwood Colliery winger Ethan Wiesztort and he managed to score within minutes of coming on as a substitute.
Taylor said: “We’re delighted to have brought in Ethan, he gives us something different to the rest of the squad and that is pace. He took his goal brilliantly and looked a threat everytime we went forward”.
