Player of the Year awards.

Player of the Year awards.

Saturday evening saw Clipstone the Player of the Year event, as the curtain on a rollercoaster of a season came down.

Here are your award winners from the Clipstone 2018-19 season.

The Managers Player of The Year: Brad Cox

Brad has been a consistent figure in the Clipstone team making the most appearances of any player this season with a total of 34. Possessing plenty of quality in the attacking side of the team it was always great to see “Coxy” in the starting line-up and he was the deserved winner. Thanks Brad it has been a pleasure watching from the sidelines.

The Young Player of the Year: Charlie Dando

With 17 appearances to his name this season and a fair few man of the match awards, Dando has to be one of the most promising young Keepers’ in the Mansfield area. Playing far more than he probably expected this year Charlie has done enough to wave off competition from other young players in the team.

The Committee Player of the Year: Olly Ashton.

Another player that has amassed 26 games this season but has a total of 55 for the club Olly Ashton was given the award for Committee Player of the Year. Olly looked to be the complete article after some impressive displays in October. His tough no-nonsense style mixed with that bit of flair makes Olly the perfect central midfielder and quite rightly earned himself the committee player of the year award.
