Clipstone have appointed Dave Hoole as the club’s new manager. Upon his appointment at The Lido Ground, Hoole told www.clipstonefc.co.uk: “I am delighted and privileged to be managing this club.”
“When I spoke to the committee they were very clear. They have a solid plan and know what they want. They have a long-term outlook and that appealed to me immediately. I am excited about the challenge that lies ahead.”
Hoole is known for playing an attractive brand of football and has brought in Dale Spragg as his assistant manager, Dave added: “Me and Dale love seeing players who enjoy their football. We like players being brave in possession, understanding the first thought is to play forward and be positive.”
“You have to be fit as well. Work ethic, desire, hunger, passion – all those clichés are so important for us. Get that right and fingers crossed we will move in the right direction.”
When asked about his summer plans Hoole had this to say:
“We’ll be looking at players young and old, in terms of experience. I’m looking forward to having a chat with the current Clipstone group and hopefully they will buy into our plans.
“You have to have maturity, experience and seniority to succeed in this really tough division but at the same time we want youthful energy, hunger and desire and passion as well.”
“If we can get that balance right then we will be in a good place. I’m sure every club will be vying for the same thing but there are some good, young players out there who would definitely benefit from coming and playing at a club like Clipstone and getting that experience.”
