It’s been a little bit of a rollercoaster since our match against Rainworth. A great victory which the boys fully deserved but since then we haven’t had the best of luck. Kimberley started off great but we couldn’t get a result and that’s been the story of late.
Saturday’s game against Heanor Town was definitely a game of two half’s, I thought we played some great football first half and were unfortunate to be behind at the break, the first 5 mins of the second half was vital and we needed the next goal, but it wasn’t to be, after that we struggled to create any chances, too many gaps in midfield allowing the opposition to dominate the game.
We take the positives though and in most games we’ve dominated most of either half, and I’m delighted to see we didn’t stop trying to pass and play the style of football which we are implementing, it’s not going to be a quick fix but as always we are all working hard to put things right.
On to the next one, where we take on Graham Street Prims who won’t be easy opposition. The boys as always need to be on it and if we can play to our potential we are definitely in with a chance. After today we are on the road again and I don’t think we’re back at the Lido or a month or so. Big games coming up too.
