On a chilly Autumn afternoon in early November, Clipstone Football Club held it’s first ever under 18’s training session. Spirits were high at the Lido Ground as Manager Tim Wainwright put his squad through their paces for the first time.
Before the session, which began at 2pm, Wainwright gathered the players and spoke with them for 15 minutes. Tim, along with his assistant manager Brad Rodda, then oversaw training which lasted up to 75 minutes.
The new gaffer, Tim Wainwright, said: “It was good to get everyone out on the training pitch and with the lads that attended we look to have a decent side.
“That being said I still feel there are loads more lads out there that will be interested in coming to Clippo. Me and the first team manager Dave Hoole are working closely with the aspiration to take these young lads next step into men’s football”.
Wainwright and his management team will be back at the Lido again this Sunday for their second open training session which starts at 1:45PM. If you are over 15 but under 18 on the 31st August 2019 you are eligible to play for us.
