Teenagers George Weaver & Aaron Ferenc have both been rewarded for their hard work and determination with the under 19’s, by signing forms with the first team.
The youngsters join Jack Lowe on the Cobras pathway to progress. Both lads have come up through the ranks and have, made their way into the Cobras first team set up after impressing for the under 19’s.
Highly-rated winger Aaron, 17, got his first taste of senior football with Clipstone during pre-season and notched up plenty of game time, not looking out of place against quality opposition in Matlock Town & Mickleover Sports.
George, brother of current Clipstone first teamer Tom, joined the Cobras in July, with the under 19’s beating a number of reputable non-league teams.
Commenting on the duo’s signings, Under 19’s manager Timmy Wainwright expressed his pleasure at seeing both youngsters get their rewards.
He said: “I’m so proud of them, this is what the Academy system is all about and we’re lucky at Clipstone to be building that link with the first team.
“Dave Hoole and Dale Spragg have been absolutely fantastic with their interest and commitment, watching games and keeping an eye on the youngsters progress, and the boys have taken that opportunity to kick-on.”
