Clipstone F.C. are delighted to announce the signing of defender Nico De Girolamo, who joins the Cobras on a dual-registered basis from Buxton F.C.
The 29-year-old is an unbelievable signing for Clipstone and Nico returns to work with his former gaffer, Dave Hoole. Nico adds top-level experience and increased versatility to Hoole’s backline, much to the delight of the management team.
The gaffer remarked: “Nico is an outstanding signing for us. I know him from our time at Matlock Town and when the chance came to make the deal I jumped on it. He is a defender who defends properly and he’s been excellent wherever he has played.
“We see him as a leader, who is worthy of playing at a higher level and in my opinion, he is one of the best. His experience will be crucial in making sure that Clipstone stay at the right end of the division.
De Girolamo has been registered for the Cobras and could make his Clipstone debut in Saturday’s F.A. Vase opener with Radford F.C.
