“Time to bounce back” says the gaffer.

Clipstone’s players care about the team’s poor performance on Saturday and want to bounce back quickly, manager, Dave Hoole has insisted.

After the weekends first defeat in the league, against West Bridgford, you would have snapped anyones hand off if we were offered 9 points from 12. But it was the lack of quality that frustrated the Clipstone management team.

The Cobras face another tough test tonight against Belper United, who sit one place above Clipstone in the league but level on points.

“These lads have had to fight all the way through,” Hoole said. “And they’re continuing to fight, whether they be young lads wanting to better themselves, or there’s someone like Smudge (Chris Smith) who had a brilliant career but is still fighting now. You don’t get into the position these lads are in without being prepared to fight.

The gates are open from 6pm with the game starting at 7:30. Food and drink is served throughout the game and entry is £5 adults and £3 concessions. Under 16’s go free.
