Brilliant pressure by Jack Lowe and Josh Pickering up front helped force the Swallownest defenders into mistakes.
A reaction from Swallownest as 3 minutes later they had 2 massive chances in the box when number 6 had a fantastic chance to equalise but missed the ball and then ended up going out for a corner. With the Cobras switching off, Swallownests’ Pearson has a free header from 6 yards and puts it wide of the post. Hoole and Spragg demanded their players to go out and grab another goal for the Cobras.
88 minutes gone, Jack Lowe broke down the right hand side with his electric pace and put a beautiful ball in the box which Pickering headed into the corner of the net. The Cobras thought they had all 3 points sealed when Swallownest put the pressure on and won a penalty when Wright was stuck between 2 players and ended with one being tripped. Alex Lill then converts from the spot to make it 2-1. With confusion from the referee, play should have been 2 minutes longer however it went on for 4 minutes putting the Cobras under pressure but the Cobras held on to seal the 3 points and move them up to 13th heading into the weekend against Parkgate.
