Match summary by Jim McIntosh:

Ollerton Town deservedly took all three points in this local derby as the visitors failed to register a shot on target in the entire 90 minutes.

Ollerton led at half time through Callum Atkinson’s second minute header from a free kick although the scoreline flattered the visitors who could have easily been four or five goals behind.

Clipstone marginally improved in the second half and with thirteen minutes to go still hoped to create a chance to get back into the game. However, the hosts were awarded a soft penalty that Joseph Bayne put away and then 60 seconds later Gav King was afforded time and space and made it 3-0. Joe Lumley completed the scoring in the 90th minute to round off a forgettable afternoon for the Cobras.

The two teams meet again at the Lido Ground on Tuesday 23 November in the Nottinghamshire Senior Cup and the Cobras will need to produce a vastly improved performance if they are to progress in that competition.

The Cobras drop one place to 15th place in the league with 15 points from 16 games. Their next league game is at home to Selby Town on Saturday 6th November, 3pm.
