Clipstone FC vs FC Humber United Sat 22nd January 3pm KO

Boss Rudy Funk made six changes from the team beaten 6-0 away at Hall Road Rangers and this time proved to be massive for the Cobras as it saw them pick up the victory.
The Cobras started the strongest out of the two teams with Clipstone having a great chance on 9 minutes before the shot was fired over the bar. But the next 20 minutes proved end-to-end football with both sides creating a plethora of chances. But on 24 minutes, the deadlock was broken when a loose ball was not cleared by Humber and a beautiful Alex Lillie cross found Nathan Swindells who poached home from 6 yards to put the Cobras ahead.
The Cobras was almost immediately pinned back on 32′ Jason White was forced into a great save from a Syzmon Czubik shot but Clipstone lead into half-time

After half-time, Humber came out strong forcing the Cobras into their own-half with Czubik creating some great chances for Humber. With the introduction of Leighton Platts, The Cobras looked lively with a great chance coming on 70′ when Platts linked up with Murphy but the shot went over the bar.
On 87′, A brilliant delivery by Humber who found Jack Durkin in the box who headed the ball into the back of the net but the referee disallowed the goal. After 5 intense minutes of added time, the Cobras held on for victory which was massive for the fight against relegation.

Clipstone’s next game is on Saturday 29th January, 3pm away to Retford FC

 

Clipstone FC face fellow-strugglers FC Humber United at the Lido Ground with a 3pm Kick off. The Cobras are looking to bounce back from the 6-0 defeat against Hall Road Rangers. The Cobras are looking to build on recent battling performances and get more points on the board to lift them towards safety. This is a huge game in the NCEL as it helps either team lift further towards safety.

Humber, who currently sit 20th have 10 points from 24 games in the NCEL, will be looking to get their 3rd win of the season at the Lido Ground. This will be the second time the Cobras face Humber with the previous fixture ending 3-3 . The Cobras need to watch out for prolific goal Szymon Czubik who is a huge threat for Humber.

Clipstone, who currently sit 18th have 19 points from 25 games in the NCEL, will be looking to bounce back from a heavy 6-0 defeat against Hall Road Rangers. The Cobras are looking to get their first points of the new year in which is a pivotal part of the season.
