This was the fourth meeting between the 2 teams this season, the Cobras’ were victorious at Kimberley in the league in September winning 2-0 having lost at Kimberley in the FA Vase and then the League Cup. Before the game the home side were in 16th place, the visitors in 15th.

Devereux played a ball to Jack Siddall on the edge of the area with his back to goal. Siddall controlled the ball and turned on a sixpence before sending in a powerful shot past Jake Wood into the top left hand corner of the Retford goal. 1-1

Kimberley ‘keeper Wood mishit an attempted clearance straight to the Cobras’ Under 18s captain but his first touch was too heavy and a defender was able to get across and dispossess him.
